Pillow Present...

Have you ever noticed at the end of a wedding how many favors are forgotten on the table? Normally I collect them all up and as nearly all the guests are staying at the same venue, I make a display in the breakfast room where guests can pick one up.

With destination weddings there is a growing trend for the ''Pillow Present''. This can be in the form of a welcome basket or while you and your guests enjoy the celebrations, the hotel or villa will place the favor on your guests pillow or door handle...

Here are our top tips for a destination wedding welcome bags and pillow presents!

1)  Information! Include an itinerary of events. A map of how to get from one venue to the next. Information on the area, such as a list of restaurants, interesting sites, places to shop and twenty-four-hour pharmacies

2) There is nothing nicer than arriving at your destination to find a bottle of local wine and some snacks. Make your guests feel special; after all some if not all have traveled a long way to be with you.

3) Make their stay more comfortable. Maybe a guidebook on the region, a toiletry kit, some flip-flops, morning after remedy, a disposable camera, plus any extras you think would be a sweet way to welcome your guests.

4) A nightcap on their pillow on the night of your wedding. I love the idea of a bottle of Armagnac and glasses in a presentation gift box or  some home made biscuits is a nice way to say thank you to your guests.
